Planning Easter Break in Berwick Upon Tweed? Children eat FREE

Despite the snow and the sub zero temperatures hitting most of the UK this week, Berwick will hopefully see some warmer spring weather as Easter 2013 approaches.

There are hundreds of things to do in the school holidays in our stunning area; hopefully some nice walks along our staggering beaches, hills and countryside will give you an appetite.

Those bringing younger children (under age ten) will welcome our free lunches for children over Easter holidays!  They can choose from our children's menu and you don't pay a penny. This is a saving of £4.95 per child!

What about those older children who may prefer eating from the main menus at lunch ?  Well they will be able to choose a smaller portion for half price (under 14s).

PLUS as a gift from Foxtons all children under 14, will receive a free Easter egg too on the following days (subject to our stocks);

Thursday 28th March
Good Friday
Easter Saturday
Easter Sunday and
Bank Holiday Monday 1st April.

So free lunches every day over Easter from 24th March til 7th April and free Easter eggs, what's not to like!

Foxtons New February Menu

Here are some of our starters;

Pheasant breast à l’ orange with apricots & streaky bacon
Pan fried sardines with a spicy garlic vinaigrette
Chicken liver and game parfait with garlic crostini and red onion marmalade
Crayfish salad, toasted pine kernels on a mixed leaf salad with a green pesto dressing

New main dishes include:

* Plump chicken breast stuffed with brie and garlic wrapped in Parma ham with a Greek yoghurt and honey drizzle

* Mussel stew and warm crusty bread; Mussels, salmon, smoked haddock and king tiger prawns served in a creamy lemon sauce

* Pork escalopes with sweet cider and apple sauce and sautéed potatoes

And of course we always have available local reared steaks and burgers!

With new pudds like white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and  lemon syllabub and homemade stem ginger short bread you can be sure to find something to enjoy.

Foxtons open as normal now (25th January)

With new ladies and gents toilets, we are new and improved!

There is still some decoration to do in the ladies and the stairs will soon become plum coloured, like the restaurant area.

New flowers have been introduced today by BUDS of Tweedmouth, we have a range of new candle lights and slowly but surely we are changing the appearance and atmosphere.

Over the coming weeks, we will replace some of the furniture and introduce a new sound system.

So please bear with us, it is not anywhere near finished yet and is still a work in progress.

Foxtons closed 21st 22nd January for decoration

New ladies and gents toilets are being installed and we will be decorating the bar, stairs and toilets.

To achieve this, we need to close for two days, so we are re-opening on the afternoon of Wednesday 23rd January.

The work is being done in stages, we hope to have a formal re-opening with new furniture before the end of February.

Last week we completely redecorated the restaurant area and it was great to see it so "stunning in plum"  on Saturday night. Come and see our new colour scheme this weekend!

So bear with us while we get changed and in the next few weeks you will see even more changes coming.

Bad news! Foxtons is closed on 21st, 22nd and until afternoon of the 23rd January for a redecoration deep clean and to install new toilets for ladies and gents.

Sorry we are not going to be able to serve, coffees, lunches and dinners on those days, but we are sure you will like the new decoration and modern facilities.

Good news! We are open for our dinner service - so grab our two steaks and a bottle of wine offer for £20 Wednesday 23rd!! See you then!

Post Christmas Blues

Now that all the Christmas trees and decorations are taken down it is noticeable just how badly Foxtons needs painted.

We will be starting to paint and decorate next week, (8th January onwards) with the restaurant the first to get spruced up. Please bear with us while we do a phased redecoration.
