Foxtons New Year’s Eve 2014 Five Course Set Menu

Prosecco and canapés on arrival at 7.30pm

Dinner commences at 8 pm sharp

Roasted butternut squash, sweet potato and ginger soup

Fish Antipasti

Haddock, spinach and Boursin cheese ballotine, king prawn, chorizo and risotto ball skewer and potted mackerel

Homemade chicken liver parfait, red onion marmalade and toasted ciabatta

Gin and tonic sorbet or mango sorbet

{}

Pan fried rare beef fillet tail with a red wine and port glaze, blue cheese and potato bon bons, a quill of beetroot and swede mash

Roasted fennel, chestnut mushroom and leek risotto garnished with gruyere cheese

Lemon mousse sprinkled with toasted flaked almonds and peppered shortbread

Coffees - frothy lattes and cappuccinos

£40 per head. Deposit of £10 required on bookings (not refundable if cancelled)

Foxtons Wonderful Christmas Party Nights

First Christmas parties of 2013 were hosted by Foxtons Wine Bar & Restaurant on Saturday night 30th November. With beautiful table decorations, crackers, party hats and Christmas tunes, everyone had a memorable night.

We serve bubbly Prosecco on arrival at the table, then 3 stunning courses and coffee/shortbread to end; for £24.95 that is a great value evening.

Of course many bottles of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and San Millan Rioja, were consumed by KSA at their Christmas party (!) and lots of new customers tried our Timothy Taylor Landlord and our other ales. Peroni is very popular and only Foxtons stock this in Berwick.

We still have some week day evenings available so it isn't too late to book for your group or work mates. Or why not book a Christmas lunch? Three lovely courses plus coffee for just £14.95, served every day until Christmas Eve.

New Foxtons Wine List to Compliment Christmas Festivities

Foxtons is now working with Majestic Wines and we are delighted to announce a new shorter more compact wine list has been introduced in the last few days.

Our new Prosecco has extra fizz and is light enough to enjoy at lunchtimes too. This replaces our previous offer which was a little light in its bubbles and taste.

Our new easy drinking white house wines by glass are a fine Argentinian Sauvignon Blanc, a buttery Italian Pinot Grigio and a very lightly oaked Chardonnay from Australia.

House reds include McGuigans Shiraz, a lush Spanish Rioja and a beautiful Merlot from Chile.

Above those we have contemporary and older world wines. Foxtons aim is to offer occasional specials and we are doing some bin ends now from our old list.

We look forward to seeing you in the run up to Christmas and hope you enjoy our wine selection.

PS we still have tables available for Christmas lunches and Christmas dinners, however most Fridays and Saturday evenings are booked for 8pm. But if your party wants a Friday or Saturday event, we can take bookings for a 5pm start, but we will need the table for 7-30.

Great response to Foxton's new autumn menu

Our new menu is getting great reviews online and in restaurant.

Seasonal game leads the way with interesting starters like pan fried pigeon breast served on warm bacon, mushroom and Foreman the butchers black pudding, or why not try warm salad of Bressingham duck hearts served with homemade plum chutney?

Fish lovers are not forgotten with mussels, crayfish and salmon dishes too.

Cooked for seven slow hours our ox cheek dish is now firmly established as one of our signatures. Foxtons chefs braise the meat in Belhaven Best ale for 7 hours, then serve on root vegetable mash garnished with roasted carrot and parsnip crisps. Fabulous slow cooked flavours and melt in the mouth tenderness!
